Meet Your Instructor
Christine Simonsen
About Christine
Christine Simonsen, M. Ed, has a total of 18 years teaching a variety of high school science classes (including: biology, chemistry, earth science, environmental science, and physics) and just completed her 12th year of teaching the PLTW biomedical science classes of PBS and HBS at the Billings Career Center in Billings, MT.
Her dual degrees in Biology and Athletic Training compliment her industry experience working in several different medical and health science professions (including: Operating Room Assistant, Dental Assistant, Athletic Trainer, Personal Trainer, Manager of the Billings Athletic Club, and Account Executive for Blue Cross & Blue Shield) for almost ten combined years.
This powerful combination compliments her passion of teaching her students about the human body and todays’ healthcare system. Christine has been using Anatomy in Clay® Learning Systems for 14 years and as a result of her support for their products has chosen to become an independent contractor for them.
In her leisure time, Christine enjoys socializing with friends, loves just about any type of outdoor adventurous activity that requires her to be physically active and allows her to be one with nature – especially with the dog she adopted, Nala. She also enjoys being a spectator of just about any sporting event, but especially attending MSU Bobcat football games, spending time with her family at their lake cabin, and traveling to new destinations. As a life-long learner, Christine considers herself a true science geek, especially when it comes to the amazing and beautiful human body.
