Human Models
The OSTIKEN™ Disarticulated Human System
Taken from MANIKEN® Classic models, these substructures engage students in detailed examination, identification, and analysis. Compare individual bones of the human skeleton to each other or to other mammalian bones to gain a new understanding of commonalities and differences.
Our human substructures are forty percent of life size, while our equine substructures are twenty-five percent and canine substructures thirty-five percent. This makes them all roughly equal in size. Students can be presented with bones from different species and challenged to identify origin by analyzing structure.
The scale of these human bone structures makes them ideal for study anywhere.
Most educators order both left and right structures, since comparing the two delivers a powerful lesson in symmetry and bio-engineering. However, either side can be ordered separately.
